Locals Tacos and Tequila

April 9, 2025 Best tacos in all of Northern Virginia by far! Today (9 Apr 2025), we went for a late lunch and it could not have been better. The staff treated us like we were the only people in the restuarant and the quality of the tacos nearly knocked me off of my bar stool. The queso dip got us off to a great start and the greatness continued on. I have had Tacos from all over Texas and I can tell you that Tacos and Tequila in Sterling sets the bar very high for quality and I would match them against any restaurant in The Lone Star State. The freshness of the ingredients cannot be beat and the meat was prepared to perfection. I had three different tacos and each one was a 5-Star taco. The chef who prepared my tacos knew exactly how much of everything to put on them so the flavors blended together perfectly. There are other items on the menu and I know they are superb. The restuarant was totally "squared away" as we would say in the Army. The infrastructure was so clean you didn't need a plate. I would have not hesitated to eat right off of the bar. The person who took care of us was Javier and he made sure everything was absolutely perfect. He ensured the beverages remained filled and knew exactly when to check on us. It's so wonderful to be able to enjoy a meal and yet, know that Javier was right there if case we needed something. I will say this, if I owned Tacos and Tequila, I would promote Javier to manager and have him train all staff members. In fact, Javier's restaurant and people skills are so outstanding, Tacos and Tequila's owners should seriously consider making him a General Manager or even a VP. I hope the next time I go to T&T for lunch or dinner, he is there. He is a man of confidence and knowledge, and definitely cares for the staff who work there.

We had an incredible experience at this taco restaurant! The service was absolutely amazing – the bartender Guillermo & staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. And the food? Simply outstanding! Every bite was bursting with flavor and left us wanting more. This has quickly become one of our favorite spots, and we will definitely be back soon for more delicious tacos. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and great service!

Amazing food! My new go to for burritos & tacos! They’re packed with flavor. I’m from CA and newer to the area... been on the east coast for past 4 years though. This is probably the best burritos/ tacos I’ve had in a loooong time.. I got the burrito with carnitas and a birria taco Seriously I don’t understand some of the reviews... guess us Californians just know what good flavor is! ....

Went to Local's Tacos and tequila (Sterling) the other week with friends. We started with the nachos (picture attached) and margaritas. The nachos are 2nd to none with plenty of toppings, real cheese, melted in broiler and really tasty. For my entree I had the combo steak and chicken) fajitas which were really of tasty and plenty of food. The service is prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a Mexican restaurant. Local's Taco & Tequila thanks for offering great food and service. I'll be back soon. Cheers!

Wide selection of tacos, very good for a quick quality lunch I would say!

Best Mexican restaurant I have been to in Northern VA! The food is outstanding - very fresh and flavorful. The chili cucumber margarita is made with fresh ingredients and is the perfect combination of refreshing and spicy. The flautas some of best I have had as well, not over cooked and super crunchy.

The seafood tacos were amazing, very flavorful. The margaritas also very good, great prices for happy hour. Stop by for some great food!!!!

Such a great local spot for a great meal and drinks. The margarita flight was good- grapefruit was the best flavor (IMO). Enchiladas were on point! And the churros for dessert were a hit- we will definitely be back!
